Original language is a starting point
The language recorded on a film page describes the production. It is not the full list of tracks on every available edition. Open the selected player's audio and subtitle menu to choose what you need.
Read the track labels
Translated subtitles usually concentrate on speech. Captions may also identify speakers and meaningful sounds. If those details matter, look for the caption or accessibility label rather than choosing by language alone.
Make the text comfortable
Where the player allows it, adjust size, background and edge contrast. Check the result over both bright and dark scenes. The best subtitle style is one that remains readable from the seat or screen distance you use.
When timing is wrong
Confirm the episode and edition, then restart that item once. Different cuts can have different timing. Use an available synchronisation control in the player, or keep the title and track details when reporting the mismatch.
